How to save digital waveforms in monte carlo

Hello guys,

I am running some monte carlo simulations on a mixed-signal circuit. Some of the points are problematic and I wanted to save the simulation data for analysis by checking the "Save Waveforms (Simulation Data)" on the Monte Carlo options. However this is saving only the analog signals and all the digital ones are not there. Is this intended behavior? Is there a place to save the digital information?

I don't see that behaviour in current versions. I was running from ADE Explorer (not sure that should matter too much) with "psfxl" as the output format (Options->Save All) using IC6.1.8 ISR15, and using SPECTR19.1 (ISR14) with XCELIUM20.03 (20.03-s013). So not the latest simulator versions (I could have run with SPECTRE20.1 and XCELIUM20.09 - just ran with my default setup). I see the analog and digital waveforms kept and plotted.

    Andrew.

Hi Andrew, thanks for the anwser. I actually contacted the support for this and the were able to help me. It seems that a combinations of factors lead it to not save all the data, but it is fixed if the xcelium version is changed.

In my case I was using xcelium 20.03.009 and could revert to version 18 where it worked fine.

Hi Roger, how exactly did you get past these if I may ask? I'm facing the exact same issue.

For the version I was using, there was a workaround: In the montecarlo option screen, write "donominal=yes" on the "Netlist Options". This is the last option on the window. It also seems to be fixed on the newest versions, so if you can, just make an update on your tools.
