Dear All,

If i select a cell in schematic editor, it is highlighted in blue.

Is there any way I can make this default highlight color to white with thick boundary.

Kind Regards,

See this post. You need to change the packet definition for the packet associated with the hilite/drawing layer purpose pair in the technology file associated with your schematic.

    Dear Andrew,

    Thanks a lot.

I did it in  CIW_-> Tools-Display Resource manager and Modify The Packet.. But when I restarted Virtuoso, this change is gone and I am back to original one.

Is there a way I can do it permanently ?

I thought I'd sent this earlier, but I must have overlooked sending Reply - so trying again.

You'll need to save the Display Resource Manager settings to a new display.drf and use that (e.g. putting it in the working directory). However, commonly PDKs load their own display.drf on first access of the library by calling drLoadDrf from the libInit.il within a technology library. Often that display.drf sits within the technology library itself or in the UNIX directory one level above - so you might need to check whether the colours change after first accessing the technology library and if so update the display.drf in the PDK (that's the easiest thing to do - there are more complicated solutions to force a further drLoadDrf after the PDK one has been loaded, but let's start with the simplest way of fixing it). You may not necessarily need to replace the entire display.drf but just replace the definition of the packet used for the hilite/drawing layer in the display.drf you already have.

    Regards,

    Andrew
