WPE effect in QRC

Hi,

We are new to using QRC Quantus. We have been able to get it to work, we can generate dspf files we would need for extracted simulations, but the parameters that would be used to model layout dependent effects such as WPE (sca, scb etc.) are not in the resulting dspf file. Could you please explain us how to include LDEs into the extraction results?

Best regards and thanks in advance

    Ugur,

It's probably best to do this via customer support, but the first thing to check is whether your LVS deck is extracting these device parameters, since it's the job of the LVS deck to do that, not Quantus QRC. You could always look at the PVS or Assura decks in the gpdk045 PDK from http://pdk.cadence.com to see how it was done there (you didn't mention which LVS tool you're using).

    Andrew.

    Hi Andrew,

Thank you very much for the quick reply. We use PVS LVS. Is there a flag that we need to enable in the lvs rule file to get LVS to extracting? Or some setting in the LVS GUI?

It's not a matter of a switch (well, it might be for the specific foundry rules you're using, but the switch name will be specific to the foundry). There should be calculation in the rule deck to extract and measure these WPE parameters. If not, you should contact the foundry to ask them how to support this for their technology.

    Regards,

    Andrew
