use AMS info points for multiple AC operating points

Hi,

We have an RF chip with a digital controller.  We use AMS in assembler / explorer for top level simulations that verify the RFFE commands configure the chip as expected.  We want to run the time consuming basic setup once and then cycle through various configurations to prove everything works.  Using Spectre we can use actimes/acnames to run AC sims after each command as a quick way to verify the RF paths are working as expected.  But that option is greyed out in AMS.  So I want to find a way to run a set of AC simulations using DC operating points saved from the AMS simulation at specific times.

1) Can I use the 'infotimes' points for the dc operating points in an AC sim?

2) Is there some other way to save multiple DC operating points that can be used for a set of AC simulations?

3) Is there an easy way to setup a single test in assembler that uses multiple DC operating points for a set of AC simulations?

If you have a better way to do this, please let me know.

Thanks in advance,
Darrell

actimes/acnames is available with AMS (provided you have added an ac analysis in the choose analyses form), so that would seem the most obvious way of doing this. As far as I know, this has been supported for a very long time.

Which IC sub-version are you using? (Help->About in the CIW will tell you - or type getVersion(t) in the CIW). Which AMS simulator version are you using (this will be in the simulator log file - xrun.log or irun.log most likely, unless you're using a very old flow).

Ok, I can use the ACtimes/ACnames after all.  I had the AC test defined, but not enabled.  I did not realize the AC analysis had to be active to fill out the form.

    Thanks!
