Verilog A frequency calculation

I am making an oscillator circuit in which voltage across device varies as a  function of time. I am using the .scs file to simulate. I need to calculate the frequency of oscillation. Please let me know how can I implement that ??

There's a freq_meter model in ahdlLib - you could use that? Or if you just want the Verilog-A code you can find it at:

    <ICinstDir>/tools.lnx86/dfII/samples/artist/spectreHDL/Verilog-A/measure/freq_meter.va

Thank u sir for taking your time to respond. I haven't access to spectreHDL so I can't use that. Sorry to say but I couldn't understand your first method. Can you please elaborate on that

The only reason I can think of that you don't have the Verilog-A model I mentioned was that you only have the SPECTRE release installed and not an IC release. Even if you don't have the license for Virtuoso and only have Spectre, you could still download and install the software and find the file I mentioned. I can't really share a file from a Cadence installation here.

I was going to point you at a resource elsewhere (e.g. on the Designer's Guide site) but the frequency measurement model there is for logic signals not analog.
