Plotting tool

I am using cadence provided to me by the institute on server through Mobaxterm on windows device. I need to plot some waveforms. For that, I requested my advisor to provide me with the licence of any plotting tool. He asked  me that some plotting tool exists which can be invoked by using skill scripts. But I couldn't find any. I am attaching the mail for reference. Please help me out.
"The user doesn't necessarily need to open an ade assembler to start plotting. There are ways of invoking the plotting tools (using skill scripts) separately as well. However, the steps to do so needs to be investigated. I haven't explored it myself.
This is probably a good time to do so. Atul can go through the appropriate documentation. A case can also be raised with cadence to help us out in this regard. This however needs to be done if he doesn't find anything in the existing cadence documentation  ".

You could launch "viva" from the UNIX command line. This would need an installation of the "IC" tools (e.g. IC618) - which I recommended before to access the Verilog-A models.

There's no particular need to script this from SKILL unless you really want to automate it - a simple SKILL plotting interface can be found in the "OCEAN Reference" manual - which can be found by running <ICinstDir>/bin/cdnshelp.

    Respected Sir ,

Thank u for responding . I was using viva tool in IC617 but the licence of that expired . I was trying this  "<ICinstDir>/bin/cdnshelp" but there is no such command showing here.

    Best regards,

    Atul

    Atul,

You appear to be looking in /usr/bin or /bin, not the bin directory under wherever your IC617 release installed.

If your license has expired, you're going to have to resolve that anyway.
