noise figure

 Hi,

how to find noise figure for VGA?

pls provide tutorial if any..

    Have you done S-parameter analysis(In cadence Spectre simulator) ? In S-parameter analysis there is option for noise figure analysis .Because I have done noise figure analysis for LNA by S -parameter anlysis . I have not done for VGA ,But I think its is similar to LNA .

    ya we did NF analysis in d same way as that of lna n we got 43db..

    wat s range of NF for VGA

    I have not analysed NF for VGA .But for LNA 3dB NF is agood result with in band of intrest . For VGA also I think 43dB is very poor result . You just compair with some other result of VGA given some published paper .
