By default, the text width is 0 for all text blocks. How to set up the text block parameters?

In OrCAD X Presto PCB Standard, disable all objects and enable only 'Text' in the Selection Filter under Properties menu. After this, select any text in the Presto design canvas, after you select a text, the 'General' menu appear under Properties menu, here you can select the drop-down against 'Text Block' to change the text block size of text.
But the parameters under it like Character Width, Character Height, Font Weight etc. are not editable.

I can select the Text Block, but the text width is always 0 no matter which size I choose. This leads to aperture errors in Gerber files ( I see very large bold text). Is there any way to update the text width of a Text Block?

    Hi Stevenson,

There are lots of things that are missing in OrCAD-x presto. You have to open your design in PCB Editor and then setup Text Block in PCB Editor. Then you can use those settings in Orcad-x presto. I like presto i do most work in Presto. But if you lack something you just open your design in PCB Editor do change in PCB editor and then reopen design in Presto. This is how i have been doing for now.

The OrCAD advertised Presto as PCB Editor plus more features. But unfortunately they still lacks to bring in Presto what is in PCB Editor.

Thank you, Abdul. It works. This is the solution so far. Hopefully, OrCAD X Presto will support more features in the future.

There is a request for this option to modify Text Block size and parameters under it to be editable in OrCAD X Presto submitted to Cadence.
