It should not take hours to figure out how to rotate text 45 degrees :(

Even chatgtp can't figure it out.  I can't even do it in the legacy tool.  Why is everything stuck at 90???? Another super simple thing that would be solved in two seconds in any other tool.

So for anyone that can't rotate at anything else than 90... close Presto, open legacy tool, click general edit, click text in the filter, click on said text, right click for move, right click option, click rotation angle, click 45... Oh man... then... haha... It's a good thing I have an Orcad legacy expert to ask questions to.  Brutal...

Yep, that’s exactly the “old Allegro way” of getting around Cadence’s 90° lock:

    • Open in the Legacy (Allegro-based) editor, not Presto.

    • Use the General Edit filter to make sure you’re only grabbing text (or whatever object).

    • RMB → Move → RMB again → Options… → Rotation Angle → punch in 45.

    • Apply, and it spins to that angle.

      .

    • Warning️ Quirk:

      • Works on text, shapes, components (depending on filter).

      • Doesn’t change the default R key behavior (still 90°), but you can force arbitrary angles through that dialog.

Point right That’s why you couldn’t find rotation_increment — Cadence basically buried it and left only the explicit rotation dialog path in OrCAD X Pro Legacy.

Let's work on Un burying all these "need to have" options in the legacy and merging it with Presto so we can have a tool that's less cryptic :)
