Scripts or commands to create the package stackup

sidm

Hi All,

are there any commands or scripts that can help to create package stack-up from scratch in an automated manner.

Something that can take in no. of conductor , dielectrics layers along with the thickness and material information and dump a tech file or mcm to be imported into SIP ?

I also wish to parametrize the package dimensions.

regards

you can go to the padstack list on tools->padstack->modify desgin padstack

open the padstack by double clicking the padstack on the list and make sure all the pad diameter and layer names are correct.

can you find the path to the padstack directory is correct by typing set in the command line?

you can see the path on padpath.

you need to make sure that the new padstack is located at the directory.

Yes the new padstack is in the directory where the design is.

Can you please let me know what does QMS stand for in the CM , there are 2 rows one is DEFAULT & the other is QMS under the VIA column in physical constraints.

i somtimes see qms on the designs from my customer.

but i have never used it on my design  personally as i do not know what it is.

maybe your osat people put it into the osat database file.

you can create a new padstack from tools->padstack->modify desgin padstack by doing "save as."
