Setup - Design Parameters - Display tab and turn off Filled Pads, then look at Setup - Colors and under the Geometry window turn on the Pin Numbers layer. You may need to resize / reposition the pin number text.

So that is not the pin number text but more than likely text added to an assembly / silkscreen sybclass. Turn off all items in the Colors then turn on JUST Geometry / PIN_NUMBER and you should see what you need.

Shouldn't be different, what happens if you hover over the pin, the corresponding text will highlight

If I hover over the text, I can see like below which said Geometry Pin_Number

and if I move the text,  the text moves along the central axis of the symbol.

    it's really wired

    Hi

This looks very odd to say the least, but I do know of a method to do what you are seeing. In Allegro one typically assigns a pin number for example A1, A2, A3 etc so as to map the pins for the purpose of generating a netlist from the schematic.

It looks to me based on your pictures that the text "A" in your picture above is not really associated with a physical pin number at all. Basically what you have is the A which is text that was drawn on a different layer but then that text was changed to the class subclass of "Package Geometry - Pin Number" & yep it is possible to do this, "Yikes"

My thinking is this was done to kind of give a visual que to the rows on the package. Ideally though the letters A, B, C, D etc outside the package should be on the silkscreen layer and not the Package Geometry Pin layer. Perhaps somebody created that symbol you are using but did it incorrect !.

By way of a suggestion, the first thing to do would be to verify all pin numbers are correct on the BGA because if not you will have serious issues netlisting.

Can you confirm if the pin numbers are good/Bad. Maybe attach the DRA/PSM for that footprint as a zip file and I will take a look at it.

    All the best.

So what happens if you hover over an actual pin (not the text). What does the tooltip say?
