Hi, I am a new user on OrCAD 16.6 CIS. I have connected CIS DB ( my team use it). I can open CIS Explorer and choose a part, BUT, I cannot place the part i selected on my Schematic.

Is there anyone how can help me? I put too much my energy now.

Thanks,

CK

    Think you have half of what you need:  the database source.

    Ask your coworkers for the official config file that references the DBC used to connect to the database.

    It tells Orcad where to load the symbol libraries (*.OLB) on launch that are used.  Without that, you will see the red lines.

    Should see two lines

    [Part Library Directories]

    Dir0=C:\library path of some sort

    The location for this config file is always obtained on launch.  >Window >Session Log   First line.
