OrCAD - Tip of the Week: Using Zoom in OrCAD Capture

While designing or reviewing a schematic, one of the most used functions is zoom-in and zoom-out. We might not even realize how much we use the zoom while working on our designs. Here is a quick tip on zooming in and out in a Capture design. Along with the zoom option in UI, you can use the following with ease:

  1. In Capture, zoom works just like Windows. You can use Ctrl + mouse scroll wheel to zoom in and out.

  1. Use the I and O keys to zoom in and zoom out, respectively.

The above operations will zoom the area centered around your mouse pointer.

Try this new trick and see if working on the design seemed a bit easier now!
