Missing Advanced Annotation button

Fredda
Fredda over 3 years ago

By some reason the Advanced Annotation button is missing in the Annotate dialog box. How do I get it back??

Right picture is my Capture installation. Left picture from another Capture installation.

Version is OrCAD Capture CIS 17.4-2019 S024 (3998392) [12/6/2021].

Try renaming Capture.ini present at location %HOME%\cdssetup\OrCAD_Capture\17.4.0 after closing the capture.

I guess the purpose with renaming the ini-file is to force Capture to create a new one? Anyhow, that didn't work.

Yes Fredda, once we launch Capture it will create a new capture.ini file after renaming.

Is the project, pspice simulation enabled?

Advance annotation option does not comes in pspice simulation enabled designs. Please check on other designs without pspice enabled flow.

Yes, pspice simulation is enabled, but nothing I'm using so it can be turned off. If I only can find out where!? Thanks.

I ended up editing the opj-file and changed to:

    (ProjectType "PCB")

Now the Advanced Annotation button is back! Many thanks! This was an insidious trap...
