I don't see the Allegro PCB Design CIS L suite when opening Orcad Capture

When I try to open Capture, I don't see the Allegro PCB Design CIS L option. I cannot open Capture using this choice. The other suite options are always checked out.

We are using a server based license.

The software reseller has not solved our issue.

I cannot open Capture using the Allegro feature. I have to have someone else create netlist files for me.

We are using version 17.2 S070

Any help would be appreciated.

I think that there is an Orcad version of CIS and an Allegro version of CIS. Are you trying to launch and use the Orcad CIS app?

I have Allegro PA-3100. When I open CIS, I see Allegro 2022.

(had to uninstall Orcad and install Allegro when I switched.)

I may try that. All I see is "Capture CIS". don't know if it's Orcad or Allegro.

Looks like you just need to install Allegro CIS from the installer (probably not the entire front end to layout suite. Just Allegro CIS.)

I personally use a VAR. But, I work for a company having Virtuoso licenses.

Cadence cannot sell/issue Orcad CIS licenses. But, Cadence can issue Allegro CIS licenses to us.

Looks like others and you do not use same license file. Or same socket ( 5280@lic_server or 5281@lic_server , something like this)
