Hi!have you encountered any bugs in the latest Hotfix S001 of OrCAD23.1?

The ‘Design Rules Check’ dialog box is displayed incorrectly and the options are not working, and the dialog box cannot be closed.

My Capture software installation location is using the default C:\Cadence\SPB_23.1.

I have encountered this issue on Windows 10/Windows 11, and my OS language is Chinese

By the way, the Zoom out, Zoom in, and Zoom fit buttons on the preview interface of "show Footprint" by right clicking on the component in the capture environment are not working. Is there a way to solve this problem?

It seems like more than two months have passed, and this issue has not been resolved in S003.Pensive

I found that this issue is related to the Chinese OS language. Deselecting Use Local Language in the Extended Preferences Setup can avoid this problem, but it is also a temporary solution.

The best way is for cadence to correct this issue.

Hotfix 005 has been released recently, but in the Chinese language operating system, the error in the Design Rules Check dialog box has not been resolved. I think this should be an easy problem to solve. Is there no engineer or product manager following up on the user experience for Chinese customers?Thinking

    Hi, community brothers:
Who can tell me the CCR number for this issue? This easily solvable, obvious, and repeatedly feedbacked issue has been around for almost a year, but it still exists in OrCAD 24.1-S003. The experience is really poor, I even feel like even the most basic features were released without testing。

    Hi,

I understand your frustration, Orcad is not a bullet proof software, it has many little bugs and it crashes sometime.

Thankfully I don't experience the problem that you have, but I can offer you this advice. This is only a community forum, unless a Cadence super user sees your problem and is motivated to create ticket, there is little chance it will be fixed. To really make things change, you have to open a support ticket. And the more people report the problem, the more chance it will be put at the top of Cadence priorities. If you have an Allegro license, you can open a ticket directly at Cadence. If you have an Orcad License you must open the ticket at your local distributor who sold you Orcad. I live in Canada and I have an Orcad license, my distributor is EMA-EDA.

Hopefully your issue will be handled properly soon.
