Design Sync Layout Folder

I am trying to configure the design sync between my .DSN design in Allegro Design Entry CIS and layout in Allegro PCB Editor, to allow the Update Layout... functionality to be used

In the 'Design Sync Setup' menu, accessed from PCB-> Design Sync Setup you specify the Layout Folder. I have tried to set this to the allegro subfolder in my project directory, but it keeps reverting to allegro\allegro. In other words another subfolder inside the allegro folder and not the folder where the .BRD is stored. Is this configured from somewhere else?

Go to PCB > New Layout and then enter allegro as PCB Layout folder and give Input Board file and Board as same and then select.

Also try to rename capture.ini present at your home location <%HOME%>\cdssetup\OrCAD_Capture\23.1.0\capture.ini

    See if that helps.

What do you suggest this is renamed to? Are you suggesting doing this so that the default configuration is used?

yes you can rename it to anything like capture_old.ini. Do it after closing the tool and after renaming launch Capture and a new ini file will get created with default configurations.
