In Win11 24H2 OS, Allegro X Capture23.1 HF006 has issues with zooming in and out

everybody,

Recently, I found that there is an issue with the zoom display of Allegro X Capture23.1 (HF005,HF006) in the Win11 24H2 operating system.

When I use the I key to zoom in, it does not zoom in at the current mouse cursor position. In addition, the mouse cursor may appear outside the drawing area.

This issue also occurs when I use the right mouse button to select or press Ctrl+mouse scroll to zoom in.

My operating system version is: Windows 11 x64 24H2 26100.1301

Have you encountered this kind of problem?

The workaround to switch-off the "Grid References" does work for zooming on a page but does not work when coming from another window like CIS Explorer or Edit Properties. Coming back from such a window result in a different position as before on that page.

Cadence seems to have fixed this scaling issue in the latest ORCAD 24.1-003 hotfix. You can try to install the OrCAD 24.10.003 hotfix and provide feedback on whether the problem has been solved. Good luck!

    Hi

I had the same problem—my zoom was working until I noticed a weird behavior, even though I didn't change any settings.

I updated the graphic card drivers to solve it, i remebered this happened with other 3D CADs( weird behavior/no menu or cursor)

The scaling issue problem has disappeared!

I'm still on OrCAD 23.1 S006 - nothing changed here. But two other things have changed:

    a) The Win11 24H2 build is now 26100.3775
    b) Meanwhile I have installed the Allegro PCB Editor Viewer 24.1

I don't know which of these changes solved the problem.
