Can we create 3D models in the OrCAD Library Builder

Dear Community,

I am using the OrCAD Library Builder and I am able to create the schematic symbols and PCB Footprints from the OrCAD Library Builder but I also want to create the Step file / 3D model in the OrCAD Library Builder.

Can we create the 3D model using the OrCAD Library Builder?

If Yes, can anyone help me with this, can anyone send me the steps / video or document to create the step file or 3D models for the footprint in the OrCAD Library Creator.

    Library builder cannot create 3d step models. You need to either find the 3d step model from the component manufacturer or distributor (most of them are available now) or try 3dcontentcentral.com. The alternative is to talk to your MCAD team who can use their tools (Solidworks, Creo etc) to make a 3d model. If you can access Cadence ECAD/MCAD Library Creator this will help with step model creation from a footprint but also can generate a footprint from a step model.
