Schematic variant to replace an 0402 capacitor to an 0402 resistor

Is it possible to have an BOM Variant where 0402 capacitor can be replaced with an 0402 resistor? I tried it in Part Manager but I am getting this error. Is there a way to go around this? I need a capacitor to be a 0hms instead.

This message appears when you try to link a schematic part to another database part with a different source package from Part Manager. Only the parts with similar source packages can be linked through Link Database Part.

Capture restricts linking parts to a different source package, as this could involve graphical/connectivity changes in the schematic for that part.
