Autopopulate list box with list of files in directory

I have a directory folder with a list of files in it. I want to autopopulate a listbox with the names of all these files with the extensions (minus the directory).

  1. Currently by using axlDMFileBrowse, I'm only able to select the one file at a time in the directory and then only populate the listbox one by one. This will be tedious if there's a huge list of files. Is there anyway to automatically search thru the whole folder and input the names of all the files into the listbox?
  2. Another problem is when I save the files into the list box, it comes out with the full extension including the directory whereas I only want the file name with the extension only. I know that using axlDMFileParts will return a list with list (directory file fileWext ext). How do I extract only the fileWext part?
Appreciate any of ur inputs again. Thanks in advance

is an excellent template for learning how to do what you're looking for.  It searches files across multiple paths and populates a list box.
