Autosilk utils release 8.23

Thanks to all who contributed ideas for this release.

There are some bug fixes and a few new features - such as a "Cut line" option and optional grid snapping for moved objects.

This version has only been tested in 16.2 and 16.3 (Beta).

Merry Christmas,

Dave

Dave, Really good file. Thanks for sharing it. I thought that this file will help us, where is the mistake in board file. My question is, is it possible to align silk texts automatically instead of manual work sinace it will take long time?

    Thanks,

    Shiva.

I have tried to use the previous revision. It's very good Skill program.

Perhaps, Cadence should take it as official function.

    Thanks alot.

     Hi Dave,

Thank you very much for sharing your SKILL. I've used it already and helped a lot in speeding the check. There's one thing I would like to ask you though. Is it possible to add a code for checking the following silkscreen vioaltions:

     1. Silkscreen on top of another silkscreen.

     2. Silkscreen on top of a via or pin.

    Thanks again,

    T

    Thanks all for the feedback.

I am in the process of adding silkscreen-silkscreen checking. I will also consider text rotation checking. Both of these were outside my original scope which was to ensure that silkscreen was clear of soldermask.

To answer Tolstoy's second request, the utility checks for silkscreen over soldermask pads on pins and vias (if you select these options). Does this not work for you? Or do you want a check for silkscreen over pads that do not have soldermask pads? I can see that this might be useful if you do not use soldermask but do you really have boards like that? Flex?

    Cheers, Dave
