Function Swap(Gate Swap)

Hi,

I would like to Know the Procedure How to do Function Swap (Gate Swap)?in Allegro PCB Editor?

What are settings need to be done at the Schematic level?

  • Hmmm...customer support is wrong.  Swapping functions and pins is painless with CIS.It's been working correctly for years. 

    Addressing the swaps...

    The resistor array you choose probably will have 4 resistors in it.  Create a homogeneous part with 4 sections and number the "across" pins in each section as you would expect.  In Allegro these will be your "functions".

    In the package view, edit the pins and add the PinGroup property of "1" to each pin.  Allegro will only allow you to swap the two pins of that particular resistor so you can't get confused.

    Package into Allegro and start swapping away.

    Note that you can swap functions across packages as well.
