creaing private functions

Hi

If I split my skill code up into defun/procedures/functions these are visible and could potentially have the same name in another skill program. Is there a way to make such a defun/procedure/function private to just that one skill program?

Please adwice if you have some suggestions.

Best regards

Ole

    Ole,

I don't believe you can. In the Skill Language User Guide there is a section discussing Naming Convention to avoid conflicts with Cadence functions. And Cadence simply uses a "_" at the beginning of a function to indicate private. I typically use my initials or company ticker symbol in uppercase followed by "_". But that's not a 100% guarantee.

    Hi Craig

Thanks for your answer. Thats what I thought - all my programs are called ns_xxxxx - but the same defun can be used across skill programs.

    Best regards

    Ole
