temporary object highlighting

Hi,

My function requires user to select an object (like a shape or via) for some process,

usual process is we set the find filter first, then use axlEnterPoint(?prompt ...) function

to prompt user to select an object. but the axlEnterPoint does NOT highlight (temporarily)

the object which the Cursor points to.

Like "show element" command, we set the find panel, then when we place the cursor to an object

which is satisfied with the find panel setting, the object will be highlighted.

is there any function to achieve this (the temp highlighting of the object under the cursor)?
