How to edit the footprint in PCB board

Hi every one

I have routed PCB board  .brd file (no schematic). I want to edit some components footprint like capacitor and diode place on the board have no polarity. Any body have knowledge about the procedure to edit the already placed and routed footprints.

    Edit the footprint then in PCB Designer, from the toolbar click Place and then Update symbols. Check the packages you want to update and review the options, then click refresh.

    One thing more I have only .brd file no components library. Can you describe the step by step procedure from open the .brd file in ORCAD, generate library, edit the component, and replace the component.

    Another thing I export the library but guide me where this library is place to interface with .brd file.

    So, you've created the component footprints on the board, not as 'symbols' if I understand correctly. I don't know what sort of size or complexity your board is; I would recommend that you work through a tutorial like the one here: http://userweb.eng.gla.ac.uk/john.davies/orcad/pcbdesigner.pdf If you complete this tutorial and are still having issues or I've misunderstood, let me know! Hope it helps.

     Thanks for your the link. I have a this book, but not completely guide me about my problem. I sovle the problem with the help this book "Complete PCB Design Using OrCAD Capture and PCB Editor-VINY.pdf" this is very helpful.

    I have a PCB *.BRD file. No schematic no netlist. On board 03 D2PAK footprint placed U28, U29, U30. I want to replace a only U29 footprint D2PAK with To263-3. Any body know the procedure to replace the footprint without schematic and netlist.
