File-Export-PDF needs license?

After just upgrading everyting to V17 I noticed that the File->Export->PDF is not functional in OrCAD Pro. Is this a special license that I missed? It's the only menu tree item that does not work for me.

Hi in Orcad PCB STD version 17.2 S047 The PDF Export is working fine.. What service pack did you update to ?

I just installed the latest hotfix:

\t (00:00:01) allegro 17.2 S051 Windows SPB 64-bit Edition

however 'pdf out' still fails for me since I don't have the ''Allegro_Design_Publisher' license:

\i (00:00:11) pdf out
\t (00:00:11) No license found, please contact your Cadence sales support.
\i (00:00:14) fillin confirm

Yes, sadly they removed the 'free' PDF creation since HF49 or 50. As I have been told this has to do something with licencing of a 3rd party tool to create the actual PDFs.

For now they don't know when it will be re-introduced as a 'free' option. That's sad imho, such complex and expensive software which cannot generate a decent PDF...

Just as a FYI Export PDF is back again without a license. Available in 17.2-2016 S065 and 17.4-2019 S005..
