Creo Parametric 3.0

Has anyone seen copper artwork successfully imported in Creo Parametric? I've seen it done in a Youtube video, so I know it's possible. I've created an .eda file using Creo View, but all we were able to import is vias. We do have the ECAD/MCAD collaboration license.

RedWire is right.   A step export from Orcad Allegro should give you copper for thermal simulation.

But, if you're getting board outlines and placement from EMN/IDF, that has been around since the 90's.

The IDF interface will only manage board outline/cutouts, mechanical or electrical holes, and component placement.

STEP files are huge. It can take hours to pull in depending on the board size and amount of vias.
This is the video I was referring to. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Twy8RkGtcSY

I always give our ME's step files exported from the main Allegro UI.

Step from the 3D environment, it has a lot of extra detail for some reason.
