edit/properties on the PLACE_BOUND_TOP or BOTTOM in the layout (on the footprint) and set a Max_Comp_Height to the shape.

It's easy  to get STEP files from the internet nowdays. And easy to use them in the 'Stepper'. Check out www.snapeda.com or www.ultralibrarian.com  Many, many parts out there.

So If you don't map a step model the tools use the place_bound_top or _bottom shape. If these don't specify a height value the tools use the Default Symbol Height value. To modify this in the board file go to Setup - Design Parameters - Design tab and adjust this value to something reasonable, but the recommendation is to map a step mode since so many are available nowadays.

These are great spots to get 3D Models and there are also others great sites such as:

    grabcad.com

    www.3dcontentcentral.com

Note many vendors will proved the models on request.

BTW a great tool for changing the file type from formats such as IGES or other formats is FreeCad.

Another note of interest for understanding the height constraint is www.parallel-systems.co.uk there have a great write up on the this feature (PBC19) user guide.  This team is the best!
