How to remove random Items associating on symbols

I am trying to move a component that I placed but the symbol now has random vias and traces attached as part of the symbol. How do I remove the association?

See my attached photo of my typical allegro screen (16.6).  I like to have the Visabilty, Find and Option windows open at all times.  Reason is so when I issue a command (such as move) I can see the filters, but in this case the Options.  Note the three check boxes, I would suggest you play with these check boxes and see the results. Slight smile

These are probably fanout vias which get marked so they move with the symbol. Try Route - Convert Fanout - unmark then choose the pin/via to unmark it. You can also draw a window and unmark them in one step.

I will try that. I didn't create any fanout but I assume the system did something to that. The strange part is that 3 vias are connected to the symbol, but there are other parts that are only traces.
