Hi,

Is it possible to change the default units in the Padstack Editor to be something different than mils?

Many thanks

    Sure,

When you open the padstack editor click on the "Start Tab", down in the bottom left of the padstack editor window you should see "Units" with a drop down selection so as to change the units.

Depending on the units you design your board in it may be an advantage to have your padstack editor always use those units, for example mm instead of mils. You can change this by opening the PCB Editor and then going to
    "Setup User Preferences"

In that user preferences window do a search for "Units" A number of results will be returned from the search. You should see a "Pad_Designer_New_Units" option. Select the units you want, hit apply and then ok.

When the padstack editor is now used it will use those default units you set.

    Hope this helps .
