Display issues on Allegro Viewer 17.4 using Virtualbox

Hello folks,

I am using Allegro Viewer 17.4 on a Virtualbox (Version 6.1.32_Ubuntu r149290) with Windows 11 as the guest OS.

For some reason Allegro Viewer is not working properly. It is not displaying the canvas/board/desing area completely. Something happens that half of the screen, inside of the program, is always black/dark, and only half or less is visible.

Does Allegro have any limitation regarding the screen resolution or something that I could check to prevent this from happening?

Did you have experienced the same issue?

Do you know how to fix this or maybe something that I could try to improve?

Thank you all.

Best regards.

Ah, I found out that OpenGL is the culprit.

Then the Allegro Viewer has a version (which is also installed by default) that is "Allegro Physical Viewer 17.4 (no OpenGL)" that does not have the related issue. This solves my issue here.

While this works with Allegro, it does not work with OrCAD since it does not have a version without OpenGL.

In this case, how do I fix it for OrCAD too?
