Retaining component nets after changing the origin

Apexter

I have a Footprint placed in PCB for which I have changed the Origin from Pin 1 to body center. When I update the footprint in PCB Editor the nets are getting ripped off. I want to know is there any procedure to update the symbol without affecting the nets.

I am using OrCAD PCB Designer Professional - 17.4 S033

Query and record the coordinates of pin 1.

When updating the part, ensure rip up traces is turned off.

After the part update, move the part by pin # (1) and place it per the original pin 1 coordinates.
