Using Cadence license with firewall

Ken X

Hello,

I am using Cadence 17.2. The license server is in the lab. For IT infrastructure update, office and lab were settled in defferent LANs and there is a firewall between them.  In lab, everything works well. I opened TCP port 3000 and 5280 in firewall, but neither capture nor PCB editor can get license when working in office LAN. PCB designer report error LMF-13016: License call failed.

Is there other port should be opened in firewall?

Thanks

If you use the Cadence License Manager installer, 5280 and 3000 are the default ports that get configured but, it might be worth checking in the log file for the license manager that they are the assigned ports since "any" could have been selected. If the license server is being found by name, check that the DNS is resolving to the correct IP address for the license server and that the network routing will route that IP address to the correct network. As a temporary measure, drop the firewall packet filtering and see if you get a license.
