u may have "shape degassing" on the manudacture menu.

if not, u can type "degas" on the command line.

then the following degassing window shows up.

u can avoid overlaps on the adjacent layers by checking "no void overlap."

there is also another command that checks if the degassing voids u created are overlapped or not by "assembly rules checker" on the manufacture menu.

u can type "assemrules standard" on the command line if this is not on the menu.

on the assembly design rule checks, u can check and run the degassing void overlap on design/miscellaneous menu.

if u do not want any degassing voids above or below the critical clines, u can select the clines and check "degas_no void" on the property so that the degassing voids can avoid those clines.

Good summary.  Would be nice to have a way to apply "degas" property to a manually made void so this would also be flagged by the check tool.

u can avoid placing degassing voids over manyally placed voids by turning on "no void overlap."

so i usually place degassing voids at the very last step of my designing processes.

i agree that we need some kind of checking tools.

to avoid air trapped on your boards, u need degassing volds/holes.
