contracting shapes with voids

hello

i have a rectangular shape with a void as shown below.

 

i would like to contract the void only by x amount all around without changing the size of the shape as shown below.

how can i do it?

    Use select shape to select the void, then edit the void.

    thank u for ur response. i was able to offset a void only in a shape. i did not know there was a void item in the ffind filter. regards masa
