If you copy the route keepout shape it should automatically void the shape you place it into, or am I not understanding your issue correctly?

    thank u for ur reply.

i am sorry that i did not make it clear.

    usually ur method works.

however i would like to make a void without using a route keepout as many pads inside the void.

    regards

Just as a FYI you can add exceptions for Route Keepout shapes if that helps in this scenario. This can either be a property on the shape (like Pins_Allowed) or can be a specific set of nets (so pins / vias for a net). For this look at Constraint Manager - Properties - Net - Route/Via Keepout Exceptions. This may mean you can add a Route Keepout rather than a void.

    thank u for ur reply.

this feature on the property is the one u told me years ago and i use it frequently.

i have a design with a void in which about a thousand of pads created by shapes exist.

i guess i have create the void manually.

    regards
