How to edit the pin pairs within the "Etch Length by Pin Pair" report?

Hi,

Does anyone know how to edit the pin pairs within the "Etch Length by Pin Pair" report? Is there a custom report that I could generate to change the pin pairs to ones I want?

Thanks.

I have seen this query in the past and currently there is no direct tool solution for this. Advanced users are utilising SKILL code solutions to create such a customised report.

Would you happen to know if the preexisting reports run off of SKILL code too? If so where could you find it?

The reports run from extracta text files. Each report has its own extracta file that tells the database what information you want to extract.

You can create or edit your own reports in the Reports Tools Window. Alternatively use the preexisting extracta files (Quick Reports). Most of these are stored in your $textpath set within your user preferences. For 23.1 this folder would typically be found at C:\Cadence\OrCADX_23.1\share\pcb\text\views.

Thanks for the reply. I was looking through that path and was I wasn't able to find the report for Etch Length by Pin Pair. I am reading more about SKILL currently and trying to get that to work. Do you have any references to other users getting the etch length with custom pin pairs?

There is a seperate thread for SKILL users to discuss such topics. Perhaps users on this forum will help you.

     Allegro X Scripting - Skill

You will find a recent introduction post there also:  Introduction to SKILL

As a hint for your requirement, I would point you in the direction of the function axlDBGetLength(). You may want to discuss this function with users there.
