How to use the place by room in the Quickplace tab

Hai Community,

In the PCB Editor, Place >> Quickplace, there is option for Place by room.

How to use the Place by room in the Quickplace tab.

    Basic principle is you add a property to the parts in the schematic, property name ROOM, value the name of the ROOM so IC, Channel, Memory etc. Once you generate the PCB you can draw a room outline (look at Setup - Outlines - Room Outline or Outline - Room for OrCAD licenses). You can draw these based on the Room names you defined in the schematic. Once the rooms are drawn you can then use the Quickplace command.
