Allegro. create Asymmetrical KEEPOUT area around CONNECTOR in Constraint MANAGER

Hi

I want to create an asymmetrical  KEEPOUT area around a connector (Conn1) inside CONSTRAINT MANAGER; which is the best way to do it?

In Constraint MAnager > SPACING > REGION >>  I create a SPACING_Region and define minimum spacing to SMD but in this case also Conn1 will rise a DRC violation

Thanks for your support

Hi, it sounds like you want to have an area around CONN1 so that if a component is placed too close to CONN1 then a DRC will be produced ?

In such a case this is easily handled by Package Spacing.

In the pcb editor turn on Package Geometry > Place Bound Top so the place bound is visible. In the find filter check Shapes, Next click on the shape selection tool and then
click on the place bound shape and extend that shape to the size of the area you want as a keepout. When finished right click and choose done.

If you move any component too close to CONN1 it should produce a drc.

See if that will work for you.
