update layout creates a Rectangle "Board Geometry/Top_Room" that cannot be removed

Question

This is my first time designing my PCB with Cadence tools. I placed several parts on the PCB design, then I went back to the schematic to make some changes to the connectors. When I came back to the PCB editor and selected "update layout", the editor added all the parts that were not yet placed in a rectangle region named "1". The rectangle cannot be deleted with Edit->Delete command. Can anyone give some hints on how to remove it?

Hi Zhifeng thanks for sending this. I have managed to delete this room. It turns out to have been assigned a "fixed private" state. We will investigate this further in the tool. 
 For now the fix is to check the user preference dbdoc_fixed_private .

With this setting Dbdoctor will now remove the FIXED_PRIVATE properties left behind by partitioning. Now run DBdoctor by going to Tools > Database Check, select all options and Check the board. 
 After doing this you should be able to delete this room directly. Let me know if this works!

Hi JC, to remove rooms please use menu: Setup > Outline > Room Outline. 
 
 To setup the board outline you should also invoke the Design Outline setup tool from the setup menu before placing any components
