I can only run Allegro PCB in safe mode

Hi all,

I think something got corrupted on my machine, I can run Capture CIS with no issues, but I can only run Allegro PCB in safe mode. I cannot run Presto PCB at all, both Allegro PCB and Presto PCB say they can't find the license server when started normally.

I have tried repairing and reinstalling the software with no luck.

Any suggestions?

    Hi,

If you can run Capture then that means that capture is finding where the license is. There is not much information in your post as to what type of license server you have.
The license Server can be run locally on your local PC or it can be run on a server that resides on your network. Which one ?

By the sound of your post it sounds like Presto or the version of Allegro you have is not licensed or the actual license file does not contain these options. When launching
Allegro if you choose a version of Allegro that is not licensed an error will be produced....

Things to check for would be.

1 What products did you license and does the actual license file contain them.
2 Where is the License Server. It can be on your Local PC or on a Network server location. ?

3 When installing Allegro it is best to install it "For All Users"

Maybe you can clarify the above ?

    Best Regards.

Something was corrupted in the PCBENV directory; after deleting it everything works as it should.
