Display Pin Numbers on Component Pins - Display Via Net Names - in Allegro PCB Designer

Hello,

In Allegro Viewer I am able to show pin numbers on the pins next to pin net names. I can't figure out how to do it in Allegro PCB Designer. I also need to show net names on vias.

This is what I am looking for in Allegro PCB Designer: Pin number next to pin name and net name on vias.

    Hi,

    Try this to set the visibility of Pin_Number.

    display -> Color/Visibility -> Layers -> Geometry -> Package Geometry -> Check Pin_Number, then click on Apply.

    Thanks!

    Thanks! When I turn that on, the text becomes too large and for dense ICs it becomes difficult to read. Is there a way to show pin numbers the same way Allegro Free Viewer does?

    Any ideas on showing net names on Vias?

    Try Setup - Design Parameters and look on the Display tab at the bottom left.

    Interesting! I don't see what you have. What version of the tool do you have? I am on 22.1.

    I see the same issue in SPB_23.1, I'm wondering if it's a license based

    However, in the new ( IMHO brain-dead ) free viewer you can control this from the Visibility Tab's Display settings for 'Other Labels'

    Sorry should have said. This is using 24.1. It was a change made in the new release. All license levels - OrCAD X Std, Pro, Allegro X Artist, Designer, Designer Plus, Venture and Enterprise.

    Makes sense! Is 24.1 backward compatible? If I design with 24.1, would board files work in 22.1?
