I am trying to add a geometry layer to a PCB, there seems to be no clear way to do this, am I missing something?

Wow, I would have never guessed that.

    Thank you.

Just wondering if the menu system is different between versions, I am using 24.1 and it's

I don't see that in 24.1. Do you have a custom menu?

Its the difference between an OrCAD product and an Allegro one. the OrCAD products (Standard and Professional) have simplified menus. I have a menu comparison chart pdf but can't upload it.

Yeah, that's one of the many things that is slightly annoying about OrCAD, the menus change instead of just greying out the item.

I am using OrCAD X Pro.

I noticed that the menu/submenus are different for the same item depending on if you are in PCB or Footprint editor.

There is an option to use the default "Allegro" menu if you want. Try Setup - User Preferences - UI - General and enable the orcad_use_legacy_menu then restart the tools.
