addling lines

masamasa
masamasa 2 months ago

hello:

the add line command has only 3 options of off, 45, and 90 with no route offset.

is there a way to add a route offset like the add connect command on clines so that i can add 60-degree angled lines?

i am talking about not clines but lines, btw

regards

masa

    hi masamasa ,

    here are some ideas:

    option 1 , use cline mode to add line, then convert cline to line (cline mode can use offset 60-degree) ---prerfer;

option2 , add line, then use spin command to rotate the line to 60-degree

    Hi masamasa,

Take a look at the forum posting from last year titled :

thank u for ur response, david:

i am not talking about clines but lines, though.

i am refering to the add line command, not the add connect command.

    regards

You can try invoking the Add Line command, set the Line Lock Options to off, pick your starting point then type ix 100 < 60 (which would be a line 100 long at an angle of 60 from the start point). Obviously set the required distance and angles you need.

thank u, steve, for ur response.

if i type ix 100 < 60 after picking the starting point, it gives me this

if i type ix 10 < 60 after picking the starting point, it gives me this

it does not give me an angle but the xy delta.

    regards

    masa
