creating new PCB layout as new canvas

Hello, In Altium we just create new PCB file no matter what is the schematics.
As you can see in the photos in the link(upload photos not working)

When I try to create PCB layout file its giving me a error that I have a problem with the schematics.

I dont care about the schematics I want to have PCB clean canvas and directly input footprints into it whithout schematics..
Is there a way to do it in allegro?

Start the PCB editor from the start menu or PCB editor Icon. When the PCB Editor starts by default it creates a canvas. Provided the paths to your PCB symbols are setup, you will be able to place these elements on the canvas. You can also save that by using file save as. It will have a .brd extension.

Be aware, the Orcad/Allegro pcb editor is "netlist" driven so a schematic is needed to create a viable board. Some pcb editors allow you to place footprints and then wire them up. When they are wired up the connections you make basically create a netlist on a pin to pin basis. Allegro does not work this way. You need to have a schematic.

    Best regards.

itc is possible to use a netlist written with a text editor but it is not easy. Prefer the schematic way. SInce you have a Orcad Pro licence, use Orcad Capture as shematic editor

Alternative is using telsis format: use a google (or your prefred search engine) with "allegro telesis netlist" you will find exemples
