Cutting CLINES - 'scalpel'

archive
archive over 19 years ago

---  SCALPEL  ----

This utility will cut a path through Clines, according to a path you draw.

It is a little different from other cutting utilities, in the fact you are not limited to drawing a box or a closed polygon.

Clines are cut with a 12mil (or 0.3mm) gap, although you can define the width yourself.

After loading, type one of the following:
scalpel
   to draw a path, or
scalpel help
   to see the options

This program is not that complex but it does give a good example of how to control programs with the mouse, among a few other things.

Minor problem with scalpel.il - very last line contains an illegal character, may be just a C/R (shows up as a square in wordpad, a space in Notepad, and "NUL" in Notepad++. Whichever it stops the file from loading, but just edit and remove that last line and it works very nicely.

     Hi Richard:

    scalpel is a great tool.

Can it be modified to add the removal of all traces within the boundry ?

    Thanks,

    Les
