How do I get a pad geometry?

HJerry

Hi all,

I need to check if a pin padstack has the geometry "oblong" by the pin dbid. Is there a short cut to do this?

These are surface mount pins.

Thanks,

Jerry

    Onice you have the pin dbid, get the pad data for the TOP layer, which contains the pad figure shape info, then check that for OBLONG_X or OBLONG_Y

    Skill > pin=car(axlGetSelSet())
    Loading signal.cxt
    dbid:36668pad1592

    Skill > pad=axlDBGetPad( pin "ETCH/TOP" "regular")
    pad:315170864

    Skill > printf( "Pad figure type : %s\n", pad->figureName)
    Pad figure type : OBLONG_X
