how to Fetch parameters of the Options window

Hi everyone,

Methods for identifying form handles and fetching parameters from the dynamic Options sidebar in Cadence Allegro

Any code snippets or references to the documentation would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi  

    What do you mean by "identifying form handles"? If you want to control a specific form in the tool, my personal method is to record a script manipulating the form and then inspect the .scr file to see how the tool calls that specific form. Then I can just run the script within SKILL with axlShellPost. Is that what you're looking for?

    Hi JuanCR,

    My goal is to extract the active line width from the system's Options form upon the termination of  add connect. Since I'm not the one creating the form, I need to know how to reference that specific field's value via SKILL.

    I would like to fetch the values from the Add Connect parameters found under: Setup -> Design Parameters -> Route -> Add Connect.
