System Capture- Ref Des prefix for resistors/capacitors

I'm using system capture version 2022.1. My project is setup for Unified Library.

How do I set the default prefix for capacitors/ resistors/ connectors to be C/R/J. Every time I place a part it sets down as U?. I have the RefDes placed in the symbol as (R?) but it still places the part with a U? refdes.
The only related setting I found in the preferences menu seems to be setup correctly but it doesn't affect anything.

I also tested it at my end. If I create any new part and associate it with already existing symbol, it comes correctly as R for resistor, C for capacitor but when I create new symbol for newly created part, it comes as U? no matter which template I have used. It needs some more debugging and then it can be reported to development team.

Above setting which you have shown is not to assign refdes prefix to parts but to identify parts in which category it should be identified based on their refdes prefix.

I discovered that if I use the Polarized-Cap symbol template it will recognize the part as a capacitor type. However, the non-polarized capacitor symbol is not recognized as a capacitor. This prevents use of the auto bypass cap feature since it doesn't believe the part is a capacitor. Hopefully the development team can create a patch for this quickly.
